Crawling!

So this has been a big week for Daniel. In addition to his first tooth he is learning to crawl. He's been trying for a while but yesterday he saw his Sesame Street book and it was a few feet away. Well what Daniel wants he gets and he worked his way over to the book. Unfortunately I haven't witnessed this yet but Mommom and Aunt Debra have seen it. Yesterday Mommom and Poppop took Daniel for a nice long walk over the bridge to see Penn, his future university. They got to the bookstore just in time for storytime with Winnie the Pooh. He is now outfitted with all the baby Penn gear they could find:-) Dental School Class of 2032 here we come!

Daniel's First Tooth

Daniel's first tooth popped through today. It was discovered during his visit to the rehab center by his Bubbie. I both saw and felt it. No wonder he's been a little cranky lately. In other news, Daniel finally had his 4 month check up this week. Due to problems with our pediatrician he went to see my pediatrician at Broomall Pediatrics. he got all his shots and although he wanted to cry he couldn't help but smile back at the nurses. Dr. O'Mahoney got on the phone with me to let me know that everything was perfect. He is a very healthy 13 lb 3 oz and 25 inches. Still tall and thin. He is doing great, such a busy baby always playing. He has learned how to roll back from his back to his tummy although no one has actually witnessed it yet!

4 months

So unfortunately I am still here in the hospital updating you on Daniel's progress. The good news is that I have gotten clearance to move to rehab as soon as a bed is available. One step closer to being home with the baby! Daniel is now rolling over from his belly to his back. It's so cute to watch him trying to roll and then when he succeeds. He is also interacting much more with his toys. His favorite is the caterpiller from his activity mat which we keep here at the hospital and hang from my bed. He gets so excited to see it and hugs it all the time....right before shoving it in his mouth. Everything is going in his mouth these days. Have to start being careful about little parts on toys. He also loves to talk, he tells me stories every day when he arrives for his visit. If only we spoke the same language. I'm trying to teach him Mommy but we'll see how long it takes for him to say that! As you can see above he is already routing for the Phillies as well. That's my boy!
