Visitors from Maryland

This weekend my college girlfriend Barbara came to visit with her son Joshua who was born September 11. Hopefully our boys will be friends as they get older. Barbara's husband was in Atlantic City for the weekend and Kyle was away on business so we had a nice girls weekend with our babies. It was fun to see a baby a few months older than Daniel so I know what to expect in the coming months. Hopefully we can go visit them in Maryland soon.

7 weeks

January 15 2008





This week Daniel experienced his first loss as one of our cats passed away. Phoebe was only 5 so this was somewhat unexpected. Luckily he is too young to know what happened although his father is taking it very hard. Also this week we spent an afternoon walking around downtown. Daniel was all bundled up in his new snowsuit and he slept the whole time while I ran errands with my parents.

6 weeks old!

6 weeks went by so quickly. Daniel is getting bigger every day and starting to discover the world around him. He is starting to grab at things including toys although at this point it seems mostly by accident. He likes to look around and see what is going on although I don't know how far he can see! Here are a few pics to show how our big boy is growing!

1 month appointment

January 4, 2008

Daniel was actually 5 weeks old at his one month well baby visit. He now weighs 7 pounds 5 ounces and is 21 3/4 inches long. He got one shot at this appointment but he only cried for a minute. Such a good boy!

Learning to smile

At 5 weeks Daniel is starting to smile occasionally. There is nothing better than picking him up and being rewarded with a big smile!

Happy New Year

December 31 2007- January 1 2008





Daniel and I saw in the New Year here at home. Kyle was DJ'ing and I thought we would have an early night but Daniel had other plans. He finally went to sleep around 11:45 so I stayed up to see the ball and the fireworks. New Year's day we spent at the Aaron's annual party and Daniel hung out with his new friend Eliana.

Today Daniel had a little catch with his Poppop and rumor has it he caught his first baseball. I see a Major League future, Phillies here we come!
