Busy weekend here. We headed down the shore Friday afternoon. Saturday was cool and not very sunny so we spent time riding bikes on the sidewalk with Uncle Jason, visiting with some friends on the porch and then the highlight of the day, a trip to the rides in Ocean City. Daniel really enjoyed the rides as did his Daddy. The evening was topped off with Daddy accepting a bet from Poppop to go on a ride called the slingshot! Yikes.
Sunday the weather was gorgeous. We played in the backyard in the morning swimming in the pool and spraying the hose. After lunch we headed to the beach where Daniel kept his Poppop in the frigid ocean for much of the afternoon. After all that activity and no nap Daniel passed out on Mommy's lap with no dinner!
Monday we had to pack up and leave but first we stopped by for a ride on the golf cart with Poppop at Linwood followed by a delicious french fry lunch! Since Daddy had to work Sunday night Daniel and Mommy caught a ride back to Philly with Mommom and Poppop. Daddy picked us up and we headed out for dinner. A great weekend!
Daniel is now 2 1/2 years old. I can't believe how time is flying. He is very much your typical 2 year old, we have tantrums, whining, picky eating etc.... but he is also such a lovable little guy. He gives me lots of hugs even when he is trying to push all of my buttons! Every day is a different adventure with him. Now that the weather has gotten so nice we are trying to get out as much as possible. Our Friday playgroup has been rotating playgrounds every week which has been great. Daniel and I went to a Camden Riversharks game which Daniel loves (he thought he was at the Phillies). We have also had playdates with various other friends as well as some fun times with Daniel's cousins. We enjoyed Suzy's first trip to the zoo last week with Aunt Francine, we have had a few trips to the zoo with Noah as well. Now that summer is arriving we are planning some beach weekends, a trip to visit Zehda in Maryland, a Phillies game and who knows what else? It is amazing to watch my baby becoming a big boy right before my eyes. He talks nonstop from morning until night (not sure where he gets that from....). He is into anything that moves, trains, buses, cars, construction vehicles....He also likes reading books, playing catch, driving around in all his cars and building towers with blocks. We are having so much fun!
Cousin Noah's Bris was delayed a bit due to his early arrival. But we finally got to welcome him formally with a nice ceremony presided over by Rabbi Uncle Stephen. It was wonderful to have all of Noah's family together, both Silver's and Goldenberg/Wylen's. We love you Noah Michael!
For Mother's Day this year we hosted a BBQ at our house. It was a good opportunity to try out our newly renovated back yard. We now have a lot more space and a nice fence to ensure that Daniel stays where he should! It was a little chilly to be outside but we toughed it out and had a great time celebrating all the Mommies.
This blog is to document the development of our son Daniel. He was born on November 28, 2007 weighing in at 6 lb 9 oz and 20 1/2 inches. I can't wait to see how he grows.
